Soma Anima offers collaborative, integrative counselling for adults. Arianne Sheikh is a registered member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

How I work

My work is grounded in Person-Centred counselling. I draw on other approaches where they may be helpful, with respect for your circumstances, identity and choices. We work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable to you.

Confidentiality and boundaries

What you share in counselling is treated as confidential, subject to the limits set out in the Counselling Agreement. These include serious risk, safeguarding and legal requirements. Arianne attends professional supervision and protects your identity as far as possible.

Records and privacy

Arianne keeps appropriate records to support the counselling work and handles personal information in line with the Privacy Policy. Counselling records are normally retained for three years after counselling ends.

Questions or concerns

If you have a concern about the counselling relationship or service, please raise it with Arianne first so she has an opportunity to understand and respond. You can contact her at arianneCounselling@proton.me. If you remain concerned, information about the NCPS complaints process is available from the NCPS.
